Tuning handling usually means editing handling.meta, restarting the server, test-driving and starting over. With this FiveM editor you sit in the car, type /vehmanager and change the values while you drive. A live readout shows top speed, acceleration and braking, and two teleport spots take you to a test strip.
What you can change
46 handling fields, each with a short note on what it does:
| Group | Fields |
|---|---|
| Drivetrain | Drive bias, gears, drive force, inertia, clutch shift up and down, top speed |
| Braking | Brake force, front/rear bias, handbrake |
| Traction | Grip, curve, traction loss and lateral values (8 fields) |
| Suspension | Springs, damping, raise, bias and anti-roll (11 fields) |
| Physics | Mass, drag, downforce, centre of mass, inertia |
| Damage | Collision, weapon, deformation and engine damage, petrol tank, oil |
| Also | Steering lock, seat offsets, monetary value |
The buttons
- Save Metas: writes the values into the car’s own handling.meta, after a backup (the last 20 are kept)
- Reset Values and Reset Stats: undo your changes; the first-edit backup is always there
- Import From Vehicle: copy the handling of any other car on your server, with a search box
- Copy Handling: puts the whole handling block on your clipboard as XML
- Repair Vehicle, Teleport Spot 1 and Teleport Spot 2 for testing
On start it scans all your resources, reads single and merged handling.meta files, and finds cars whose spawn name differs from their handling ID. Vanilla GTA cars work too: their edits are kept in a separate file and applied to everyone. Saved changes reach other players after a server restart.
